Refine your skills, play multiple characters, deepen your craft
 Beginners acting, The Story at Darlo Drama involves the production of a series of scenes from several plays, with each actor exploring multiple characters and relationships. Performance craft is extended through this course by experiencing a TWO show performance in our Studio Theatre to an audience.

Over the last 30 years, we have proudly developed a team of very supportive, engaging tutors that have a wealth of knowledge to share with you. We will help you to build confidence, feel at ease in front of an audience, whether in a professional or social setting, and introduce you to lots of tools that you can use on stage and in your also apply to your daily life. 
Beginners acting, Level Three Course overview
 Level Three will help you to further build your skills and knowledge from Level One and Two. This course will equip you with the skills and performance experience before embarking into our The Play course (next module after Level Three) which entails the rehearsal and performance of a full play, equipping you with a solid acting craft to apply to a theatre production. Level Three is open to people who have completed Levels One and Two with Darlo Drama or similar courses elsewhere, we give you the fundamental understanding and experience of the processes involved in staging theatre, from rehearsal to performance. Working as an ensemble, blocking and script analysis is also developed in this course.

You will be introduced to the process of performance craft and stamina. The TWO performance structure of this course will build the skills required in performing the same show twice! 

Beginners acting, Level Three Course Focus
 
 Taking direction, play structure, script analysis, working as an Ensemble and stage work and blocking. 
Level Three course outcome
 TWO performances of a series of scenes from several different plays on our Studio Theatre stage.

*We endeavour to use scripts that have equal roles but there is no guarantee of the size of the roles you will be cast in. 
Our other courses

 Level One, Two and Three requires attendance at one class per week for three hours at the same time each week.

Level One – The Monologue (8 sessions including 1 performance)

Level Two – The Scene (9 sessions including 1 performance)

Level Three – The Story (11 sessions including 2 performances)


Once you have completed Level One the subsequent Level's can be completed at any time. There is no obligation to complete all Levels but we do recommend not leaving too long in between to keep your momentum of learning going.  

Course requirements

 To participate in this course at Darlo Drama, you must have completed Level One and Level Two with us or an equivalent elsewhere.

All students must be over 18 years of age at the start of the course.

 Level One Course fee: $695.00
